Refrigerated and fresh food logistics
As of: September 11, 2026
Refrigerated and fresh logistics refers to the temperature-controlled transport of food, fresh produce, and temperature-sensitive goods. It is characterized by the permanent energy requirement of the cooling body in addition to the traction drive, even when stationary.
Note
New-generation vehicles under the HEERO brand are currently in development and are not available for order. The information on this page describes the requirements of the segment, not promised vehicle characteristics.
Vehicle requirements
Electric power take-off with sufficient continuous power for the refrigeration system. Energy reserve for the auxiliary consumer in addition to the driving range. Insulated body with temperature documentation. Depot charging.
The design question
A refrigeration unit can account for a significant share of the daily energy requirement in summer operation. The battery size must therefore be designed based on both the driving distance and auxiliary consumption, not on the driving distance alone.
Role of HEERO Motors
Refrigerated bodies are planned as an expansion stage of the new vehicle generation, following proof of concept in dry box operation.
Demarcation
HEERO Motors does not manufacture refrigerated bodies and does not issue temperature certifications.
