Under the HEERO brand, light commercial vehicles with internal combustion engines were converted to fully electric drive until 2026. Vehicles of this generation have been in commercial use in Europe since 2022. This vehicle generation is not being continued.

Technical features of this generation
In the HEERO brand vehicles up to 2026, the drive software, hardware, battery system, and power electronics were developed as a coherent system and not combined from purchased components. Over-the-air updates were controlled via an in-house cloud backend. The results of this development included a patented, particularly lightweight battery pack, an in-house battery cooling system, a scalable pack architecture per vehicle type, an in-house charging port design, and a specially developed cellular control unit for remote maintenance.
Use by fleet operators
Vehicles of the HEERO brand were used by Würth Fahrzeugeinrichtungen, TOI TOI & DIXI Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH, WILLMS Touristik GmbH & Co. KG, Blaguss Reisen GmbH, and the Anders Group, among others. The application profiles ranged from service fleets and sanitary vehicles to electric minibuses in excursion transport.

Empirical values regarding energy consumption in real-world fleet operations, charging behavior at the depot, body integration, and service cases are available from the operation of this vehicle generation.
